A person using a PleurX drainage system may need nursing assistance and reassurance at home. We review the treatment plan and requested support with attention to the person’s comfort and existing clinical instructions.
Reviewing the prescribed plan
We confirm the drainage orders, required equipment, expected schedule and the qualified nursing staff needed before accepting a service.
Care, observation and documentation
Where care is arranged, it follows the treating team’s instructions. Nurses document the agreed observations and communicate concerns according to the plan.
Support for the person and family
We make time to explain the agreed visit and clarify who to contact about treatment-related questions or changes in condition.
Planning your care
Suitability and availability are confirmed following nursing review. This is a planned clinical service, not emergency care.
