FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A little clarity. A little reassurance.
Choosing care can bring questions. Here are some helpful starting points; we’re always happy to talk about your own situation.
What kinds of home care do you provide?
We offer personal care, companionship, nursing and specialized support. This includes help with daily routines, meals, outings, respite, recovery after hospital discharge and mobile nursing foot care. Explore the service pages or call us to discuss your needs.
How do we get started?
Call or email us to explain the support you are looking for. A complimentary nursing assessment helps us understand needs and preferences. We then discuss the proposed services, schedule and pricing before care begins.
Is the initial nursing assessment free?
Yes. The initial nursing assessment is complimentary. It helps guide an individual care plan. Ongoing services are discussed and agreed separately.
Where do you provide care?
We serve Windsor–Essex. Support may be arranged at home or as additional help in retirement homes, long-term care homes or hospitals, subject to the setting’s policies and approval.
What is the difference between medication reminders and administration?
Reminders support someone with an established self-managed routine. Nursing medication administration involves assessment and a clinical plan, including applicable orders and qualified staff. We discuss which support is appropriate.
Can family members stay involved?
Yes. With the client’s consent, family members can share preferences, help plan care and stay involved in reviewing support as needs change.
Do you offer overnight or live-in care?
Contact us to discuss the hours and level of assistance required. Awake overnight, sleeping overnight and live-in arrangements have different staffing and home requirements. Suitability and availability are confirmed individually.
Can you help after surgery or hospital discharge?
We can discuss personal support, meals, mobility assistance, companionship and nursing needs during the transition home. Share any discharge instructions so that care can be planned around the existing healthcare plan.
Do you provide transportation?
We offer non-medical transportation and appointment accompaniment. Mobility needs, vehicle suitability, the planned duration, fees and mileage are confirmed before booking. Let us know if an accessible vehicle is required.
How much does care cost?
Costs depend on the services, schedule and any travel arrangements. We explain proposed rates, visit requirements and applicable charges before you agree to care.
Can you provide complex nursing services?
Requests such as dialysis support, implanted port care or PleurX drainage require an individual nursing review. We confirm the treatment plan, required orders, supplies, staff competencies and availability before accepting a service.
What happens when I complete the enquiry form?
Your enquiry is submitted through The Noble Oak’s existing website contact form. The care team receives your contact details and message, and an acknowledgement is sent to the email address you provide. An enquiry does not confirm a booked appointment. Please avoid detailed medical information in your initial message.
