Being able to move around your home and take part in everyday life matters. We provide assistance that takes your abilities, mobility equipment and environment into account.
Moving around with support
Care may include help with walking, using a walker or wheelchair, and moving between familiar spaces. We encourage participation while following the assistance level identified in your care plan.
Transfers and positioning
We discuss transfers between beds, chairs, wheelchairs and toilets, including the equipment and number of people required. Repositioning support can help improve comfort.
More complex mobility needs
For people living with paraplegia, quadriplegia or other significant mobility limitations, we discuss personal care and nursing needs together. We coordinate with the client’s healthcare team where appropriate.
Planning your care
Transfers are arranged only when suitable equipment, staffing and an assessed plan are in place.
